Primary or Secondary Library (Apple TV1)

It’s my belief that the use of the terms ‘syncing’ library and ‘streaming’ library can occasionally lead to confusion with some users and at the same time hide the fact there are many differences between the two other than their streaming and syncing attributes.

Consequently I will often refer to these as the ‘Primary’ or the ‘Secondary’ libraries.

A primary library can sync or stream or do both, a secondary library can only stream.

Primary Library = ‘Synced’, ‘Syncing’ or ‘Paired’ library

Secondary Library = ‘Streamed’, Streaming’ or ‘Shared’ library.
