Other Legislation.

Consider the following examples:

     1.      If you deal with the public, they cannot enter your production areas, you may need to provide them their own access and waiting areas and you may need to provide additional facilities for them.

     2.      The size of your workforce and whether it is of mixed gender may have implications as to the facilities you need to provide.

     3.      Hazardous and flammable materials may need to be stored separately or even securely outside.

There are many other examples where legislation affects a business, too many for this simple help guide. You need to be aware of which legislation applies to you and choose your premises accordingly. You are unlikely to find the perfect premises, but by taking time to consider the options available to you, you can likely limit the initial costs of setting up and continued compliance with legislation.
