Above all the Non Domestic Energy Assessor should be courteous, informative and independent.

At all times we will respect yourselves, your customers and your staff, be alert to sensitive areas and situations and our survey will not be intrusive. (We will not be lifting carpets, moving furniture or operating your equipment)

We will endeavour to respond to any request for information about the survey or the EPC and its recommendations in an intelligible manner, so you and your staff will be aware of why we are there and what we are doing.

An assessor has a duty of care and is always mindful of their independent status, they will not be influenced by anyone on or off site and will require evidence of any information provided in this manner. The assessor will where possible research any equipment or plant found on site so as to provide an accurate rating.

The assessor will always conduct a risk assessment and will adhere to any health and safety policies in force on site, reporting any concerns encountered during the survey itself. The assessor will terminate a survey in the event of an unreasonable risk or hazard.

The EPC will be produced in a timely manner and usually be provided to the client within 72 hours of the survey. The assessor will be available to discuss the outcome of and the recommendations produced by the report that accompanies the EPC.
